The Peak District

The Peak District is an area of great diversity, it is conventionally split into the northern Dark Peak, where most of the moorland is found and whose geology is gritstone, and the southern White Peak, which is mainly limestone. The landscape is a captivating blend of rolling hills, dramatic rock formations, and quaint villages. Rugged moorlands and open fields create a sense of expansiveness, while ancient stone walls crisscross the terrain.
